Reviewer Guidelines

Peer reviewers are essential to the quality of SJETIS. These guidelines describe what the journal expects from reviewers.

Before Accepting an Invitation

Accept only if the manuscript is within your expertise, you have no conflict of interest, and you can complete the review within the requested time. Please respond to the invitation within 7 days. If you decline, you are welcome to suggest alternative reviewers.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts are confidential documents. Do not share, discuss, or use any part of a manuscript or its data for personal advantage. Under double-anonymous review, do not attempt to identify the authors. Do not use generative AI tools to analyze or summarize a confidential manuscript.

Conducting the Review

Assess originality and contribution, relevance to the journal's scope, methodological rigor, validity of data and analysis, support for the conclusions, clarity of presentation, appropriate citation of relevant literature, and ethical compliance. Provide specific, constructive, and respectful comments, and give a clear recommendation: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. The review is expected within 4 weeks.

Concerns About Misconduct

If you suspect plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or other misconduct, report it confidentially to the editor rather than investigating on your own.
