Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
SGN Journal of Electronics, Telecommunications and Intelligent Systems (SJETIS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. The journal follows the core practices and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for authors, reviewers, and editors.
Duties of Authors
Authors must submit original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. All sources must be properly cited. Authors must report data honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation. Authorship must be limited to those who made substantial contributions, and all authors must approve the final manuscript. Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources, and must notify the editors promptly if they discover a significant error in their published work.
Duties of Editors
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their scientific merit, without regard to the authors' gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, institutional affiliation, or political views. Editors must keep submitted manuscripts confidential, avoid handling manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest, and ensure a fair and timely double-anonymous peer review process. Final decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief or an editor delegated with that authority.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential, provide objective and constructive assessments, identify relevant uncited work, decline reviews where they have a conflict of interest or cannot meet the deadline, and must not use unpublished material for personal advantage.
Handling Misconduct
Allegations of plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other misconduct are investigated following COPE flowcharts. Confirmed cases may lead to rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction, and notification of the authors' institutions where appropriate. See also the Plagiarism Policy, Retraction and Correction Policy, and Complaints and Appeals pages.
