Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to SJETIS undergo a structured editorial and peer review process.

Review Model

SJETIS uses double-anonymous peer review. The identities of authors are withheld from reviewers, and the identities of reviewers are withheld from authors. Authors must remove identifying information from the manuscript file and its metadata.

Review Process

The process consists of manuscript submission; initial editorial screening for scope, originality, completeness, ethical compliance, and similarity; reviewer assignment; double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers; editorial decision (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject); author revision and verification; copyediting and production; and final publication.

Timelines

Reviewers are asked to respond to an invitation within 7 days and to complete the review within 4 weeks. Manuscripts may be rejected at the screening stage, returned for revision, or sent for additional review.

Review Criteria

Reviewers assess originality, relevance to the journal's scope, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, validity of conclusions, clarity of presentation, and ethical compliance, using a structured review form with written recommendations.

Final Decision

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an editor delegated with that authority. Editors with a conflict of interest are excluded from handling the relevant manuscript.
