Corrections and Retractions Policy

SJETIS is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record and follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Corrections

A correction (erratum or corrigendum) is published when an error does not invalidate the findings but affects the accuracy of the article, such as an error in a figure, table, author list, or funding statement. Corrections are linked to the original article.

Expressions of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when there is credible evidence of possible misconduct or serious error that is still under investigation, or when an investigation is inconclusive.

Retractions

An article is retracted when there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to serious error or fabrication, when the work is plagiarized or duplicates previously published work without proper attribution, when ethical approval or consent requirements were violated, or when undisclosed conflicts of interest materially affect interpretation. A retraction notice states the reason for retraction and who initiated it. The retracted article remains accessible, clearly marked as retracted.

Procedure

Allegations are assessed by the Editor-in-Chief, who may consult the authors, reviewers, the editorial board, and the authors' institutions. Authors are given an opportunity to respond before a decision is made.
